Monthly Meetings

We hold monthly Club meetings where we discuss amateur radio, have exciting presentations from hams and others, and prepare for supporting public service events. These meetings are open to the public. Visitors are always welcomed, recognized, and greeted warmly.  Everyone is encouraged to sign in when coming into the building.  We do have drawings from time to time and you might be a winner. 

The Rankin County EOC Building is where we hold most of our monthly meetings. The street address is 601 Marquette Road, Brandon MS 39042. A map and written directions are displayed below.

We get started at 7:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month, although most gather a few minutes earlier to meet other hams, chat about their latest QSO and so forth. Meetings tend to end about 8:30 pm. All are welcomed.  Immediately following the CMSARA meeting is the Central Mississippi Amateur Radio Emergency Services meeting.  For more information on ARES, please see their website at MSARES.COM.

The CMSARA Board of Directors and Officers also meet monthly. The Board meets the same day and place right before the general meeting at 6:00-7:00 pm. Our Board Meetings are open to the membership, who are welcome and encouraged to come.

Directions to 601 Marquette Rd Brandon, MS 39042

From I-20
Take Exit 54 (Hwy. 18/Greenfield/Crossgates Blvd). Turn left and go over I-20; at the intersection with Hwy. 80 turn right (East). Travel approximately 1.5 miles on Hwy. 80; a Community Bank and Auto Zone will be on your right. Turn right (South) at that traffic light (Marquette Rd. on south side of Hwy 80).  You will go down under the interstate. The Rankin County EOC building will be the second building on the right, approximately ½ mile.  You should see a bunch of cars in the parking lot.
From Lakeland Drive

Take Airport Road (becomes Hwy 475). Travel to Hwy 80 and turn left (east on Hwy. 80). Travel approximately 5 miles passing WalMart and Kroger. Pass through intersection of Hwy. 80 and Greenfield/Crossgates Blvd. Continue until you pass a Community Bank and Auto Zone. Take a right at that traffic light on Marquette Road. The Rankin County EOC building will be the second building on the right, approximately ½ mile.  Should see a number of cars in the parking lot.
